People see a "real" dog as the common sized dogs such as the German Shepard, the Labrador, the Saint Bernard, etc. They sometimes do not look at a smaller sized dog as a "real" dog, but rather a miniature dog breed is sometimes thought of as closer to a cat! Silly as it sounds, this is a common stereotype people who know very little about a miniature dog breed may hold. The miniature dog breeds that are most common are the miniature poodle, miniature pinscher, and the miniature schnauzer. These dogs have huge followings among those who love to own a miniature dog breed. There is good reason for this as these different dogs are quite fun and make valuable pets. When one notices the prevalence of these types of miniature dog breeds on the street and staring out the windows of people’s houses. Now, this does not mean that the miniature dog breed is not a good dog for a large home. A miniature dog breed can be a welcome addition to any home or residence and that is a major reason why these dogs are so popular. Actually, they are also so popular because they are incredibly lovable. So, if you are considering purchasing a dog as a pet, you might want to give a miniature dog breed some consideration as the pet of choice. If you decide to pick up such a dog breed then you will be taking on a wonderful pet who will provide years of loving friendship.
